This course is 6 weeks meeting every Wednesday from 6-9pm. Students will explore pottery through hand building techniques. Students will learn essential clay handling and care, as well as tips for making basic tools. Techniques covered include pinching, coiling, slab building, and slump molding. Students will also experiment with slip decoration and surface techniques such as mishima, sqraffito, inlay, wash away, and glazing.

In Addition to class time students are also allowed to work during open studio time through out the week which is 30 hours a week. Your instructor will give you the time at you first class meeting.
